When Consciousness Leaves You

" It was a nice warm Wednesday afternoon walking in the streets of Den Haag central, when I suddenly felt this sharp lining pain on top of my head. The pain was tolerable, yet I felt like it is gradually growing. I ignored for a bit, until my vision became cloudy. I started to feel dizzy, similar to the feeling when you first puff a smoke after 3 days of break from it. Spots of white light started to populate my sight. I held tighter on my fiance's arms and told him I need to sit down for a bit. There were no bench at sight so we continued walking, thinking that it wasn't serious. But the white spots were growing, and my hearing started to deteriorate. I started to hear like a weird buzz, and the noise around me started to sound so shallow, like I was under water. From there, I knew I was losing consciousness slowly. I could hardly breathe, my knees started to feel weak. I could harldy move my legs and my arms. My vision was completely washed out with the white light. Mark and I struggled to sit on a flower pot, he's almost dragging me because I feel like a vegetable. The pain was still there, and my hearing was completely gone - just a continuous buzz. I was very scared. It lasted for a few minutes. Then slowly, my vision and hearing came back. The buzzing faded slowly and I felt really really thirsty. Then I broke to a cold sweat...

What was it? I don't know. I wasn't completely unconscious because Mark was there talking me out of it all the way, but imagine if I was alone. I would have totally pass out. It made me wonder, this might be what people feel when consciousness leaves your body. It's not in an instant. It might be low blood pressure, or sudden lost of oxygen in my brain. I couldn't explain. I was just so scared and hope that it will never ever happen again."
